Boozman Honored by Manufacturers

House Seal Outline

Washington, Oct 15 -

U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today was recognized for his efforts to maintain U.S. leadership in the global economy with his voting record in the 110th Congress. The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) named Boozman a recipient of the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence.

“American manufacturing is a critical component of our economic and national security,” Boozman said. “I will continue to do my best in representing the interests of hardworking Arkansans whose jobs depend on our ability to compete on a global level.”

This award honors lawmakers who consistently support pro-growth and pro-manufacturing. In the House those votes included:

●Medicare Prescription Drug Price Negotiation Act
●Employee Free Choice Act
●Natural Gas Development in the Outer Continental Shelf
●Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
●New Direction for Energy Independence, National Security, and Consumer Protection Act
●Energy Independence and Security Act
●Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act
●Restoring the Highway Trust Fund Balance Act

The National Association of Manufacturers is the nation’s largest industrial trade association, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states.
