Pryce Statement on the Retirement of David Hobson
Washington, DC -- Today, Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (R-Columbus) released the following statement in response to Congressman Dave Hobson’s (R-Springfield) retirement announcement:
“Congressman Hobson’s institutional know-how cannot be matched or replicated. While he was a passionate and ferocious advocate for his constituents, all of Ohio benefited from his understanding of good government and his ability to provide for it. Dave is a thoughtful and deliberative lawmaker whose conscience and unwavering commitment to doing the right thing endeared him to his district and his colleagues alike.”
“He was the lynchpin to some of the tremendous successes enjoyed by our central Ohio delegation, including preserving our defense installation from the base realignment commission, and building a new outpatient clinic for veterans in Columbus. I wish him and Carolyn a well-deserved respite from public service, but like the rest of our Ohio delegation, will miss our friend and colleague, “Uncle Dave.”
