Washington, DC – Washington, DC- Congressman Akin (R-MO), has released the following statement regarding his no vote on the $700 Billion Dollar Wall Street Bailout:

“Today I voted no on sending $700 Billion Dollars of tax payer’s money to Wall Street. 

“While the current credit crisis is serious, I reject the notion presented by Treasury Secretary Paulson that we have no choice but to pass a $700 Billion Dollar bail out immediately and without delay or consideration of alternatives.”
