WASHINGTON – U.S. Reps. John Spratt (D-SC) and Howard Coble (R-NC) urged President Bush to crack down on illegal imports from China, which have resulted in the loss of more than a million American jobs. The co-chairmen of the Congressional Textile Caucus said the action is needed to stem an expected surge in imports after January 1, when remaining quotas on textile and apparel imports from China expire.
