Forbes to Host Free Paying for College Workshop

Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) announced today that he is hosting a free Paying for College Workshop to be held at Matoaca High School in Chesterfield on Saturday, September 20th at 10:00 a.m. The Paying for College Workshop is open to any student and parent or guardian in the Fourth District who is interested in gaining information on planning and paying for college.

Congressman Randy Forbes, The Sallie Mae Fund, a nonprofit college-access organization, and all interested students and families in the Fourth District.

WHAT:
|
“Paying for College Workshop.” An interactive workshop to discuss the benefits of a college education and ways to prepare for the college admissions process, including grants and scholarship information. A representative from the Sallie Mae Fund will also discuss state financial aid and the overall financial aid process. Participants will receive free resources for preparing for college and one high school junior or senior will win a $500 Sallie Mae Fund scholarship for college.
