The Borough of Carlstadt, located in Southern Bergen County, is home to approximately 6,000 residents.  Many local civic organizations are located in Carlstadt, including two Senior Citizen Clubs, multiple Veterans organizations and an active recreational sports program. 

Originally a village, the Borough of Carlstadt was founded in 1894.  The Carlstadt Historical Society collects and displays memorabilia and artifacts of Carlstadt's rich historical past at the Carlstadt Historical Firehouse Museum.
