  Issue - Aging

As a member of the Special Committee on Aging, I am committed to ensuring that our seniors are protected. North Carolina has experienced a tremendous increase in our senior population as many people have chosen our beautiful state as their place to retire. Working with federal and state resources, I am confident North Carolina will continue to serve the needs of our seniors. I recognize the important role seniors play in families and communities, and I intend to make sure we fulfill our promise to care for them. Whether it is working on prescription drug coverage, Social Security and pension protection or elder abuse issues, I look forward to working with my Senate colleagues and the Committee staff to best serve our seniors.
