FAQS

I am waiting for a hearing with an Administrative Law Judge.  Can you help expedite my case?

The Office of Disability Adjudication and Review may accept a request to expedite a case if there is evidence of a dire need or terminal illness.  If you have a dire financial need, please provide supporting documentation to my District Office.

I am expecting a retroactive payment for my Social Security claim, but have not heard anything further since my approval.  Can you help?

If you have received a written approval from the Social Security Administration, please send a copy of your information to my District Office. I can request that your case be reviewed to determine if your benefit may be expedited.

I have received a notice that I owe money to the Social Security Administration.  What should I do?

If you believe the Social Security Administration made an error in determining your overpayment, you should contact the local Social Security office to appeal their determination within sixty (60) days of receiving their letter.

If you agree that you have an overpayment, but do not believe that it is your fault and cannot afford to repay the debt, you should file form SSA-632 (Request for Waiver of Overpayment Recovery or Change in Repayment Rate).

Please contact my office once you have filed the appropriate forms so that I may initiate an inquiry on your behalf.
