CASE WV Receives $281,640 Grant for Head Start Services in Southern West Virginia

U.S. Rep. Nick J. Rahall (D-WV) announced today that Community Action of South Eastern West Virginia (CASE WV) has been awarded a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services. "I am pleased to announce that the Department of Health and Human Services is giving this award to CASE WV," Rahall said.

The grant, which is to be used for Head Start projects, is for a total of $281,640. According to the CASE WV website, their Head Start services are provided to approximately 230 children in Mercer County. This grant will be used to expand the Head Start services to Summers County.

"Investing in our children at an early age is of great importance," continued Rahall. "Head Start and all of our educational programs are vital to giving our children the skills they need to lead the Nation when they are older. I applaud CASE WV in their ongoing efforts to serve the communities of Southern West Virginia."
