Rahall, In Logan County With Mining Community, Asks For Prayers Of West Virginians

U.S. Rep. Nick J. Rahall (D-WV), issued the following statement:

"As we wait for news of those who are trapped in the Alma No. 1 Mine in Logan County, we are surrounded and supported by the strength and the will of these coalfield communities," Rahall said. "The pain of Sago is still fresh, but we in West Virginia know that prayer will sustain us today. I ask all of you to pray for the trapped miners and their families and for all members of our mining community."

"Our miners toil every day to keep our Nation strong. We are compelled to do all that we can to ensure their safety and well-being."
