All tours are free.  My office will be more than happy to process your request.  It is recommended that you submit your request to the Washington D.C. office (202-225-2265)  at least two months in advance.  For groups larger than 15 people please try to submit a request four to six months in advance.  Please note that tour space is limited and not all requests can be accommodated.   All tour information and reservations are subject to change at anytime.  Please contact my office for the most up to date tour information.

The White House: Tours of the White House have been opened to groups of 10 or more. These self-guided tours will be scheduled from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For the most up-to-date information, call the 24-hour Visitors Office Info Line at 202-456-7041 or visit the White House site.  Tours must be requested through my office 1-6 months in advance.  The White House gives preference to those tours requested earliest.  Please note that tour approval is always subject to availability and that the White House may deny tours for any reason.

The Capitol Tour: The Capitol is open to the public for guided tours only. Tours will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday (the Capitol is not available for tours on Sundays). The Capitol will be open on all federal holidays except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  The Capitol will also be closed on New Years Day.

Visitors must obtain free tickets for tours on a first-come, first-served basis, at the SW Kiosk on Independence and 1st Street, which opens at 9:00.  All security screening is done at this facility, and the Capitol Police and the Capitol Guide Service then escort visitors to the Rotunda to begin their tour. Maximum tour size is 40 people.

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing:  The Bureau is closed on weekends, federal holidays and the week before Christmas and New Years.  You can get tickets for the Bureau of Printing and Engraving in two ways.  You can request the tickets from our office no less than three months before your planned visit. 

Otherwise, For Peak Season (the first Monday in March through the last Friday in August) - Free tickets are required for all tours from the first Monday in March through the last Friday in August.  They are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the ticket booth located on Raoul Wallenberg Place.  The ticket book opens at 8:00 am Monday through-Friday.  On the busiest days, all tickets will be gone by 8:30 am.  Please plan accordingly. 

For Non-Peak Seaon (September through February) - You  may line up at the Visitors' Entrance on 14th Street.  Please allow 45-50 minutes from the time you enter the building until the end of your tour.

The Supreme Court:  The Supreme court is open to the public for congressional tours, which must be submitted through one's Member of Congress.  Congressional tours are available Monday thru Friday at 2:00 when the Court is not hearing arguments.  Tours can have no more than 6 people per group.  Public tours are available Monday thru Friday 9:00 to 4:30 and leave every hour on the half hour.  Always make sure to call before visiting because the public tour hours are subject to change at anytime.   For more detailed information visit the website at http://www.supremecourtus.gov/visiting/visiting.html or call (202) 479-3200

 

The Library of Congress:  Congressional tours of the Library of Congress are held Monday thru Friday 8:30 and 2:00.  There is a maximum of 10 people that are permitted on the tour.  Contact your congressional office to schedule a congressional tour.  Public tours are available Monday thru Saturday 10:30-3:30 every hour on the half hour.  Tours last approximately 45 minutes.   On Saturday there are no tours scheduled at 3:30.  For additional information on public tours call (202) 707-5458 or visit http://www.loc.gov/loc/visit/
