What do I do if I find a tree fallen across power lines or a roadway?

Do not touch or attempt to drive over downed power lines. Call Puget Sound Energy or Seattle City Light to report downed power lines. If you are reporting a tree over a roadway, call 206-296-8100 or toll free 1-800-KCROADS to report the road blockage to the Department of Transportation.

 

Who do I call if I need sandbags?
See the yellow pages of your local phone book to find businesses where you can purchase sand and bags. If you are unable to locate sandbags through retail, King County has a very limited supply for emergency use only. If you make a request to the county, a representative will assess your individual situation to determine the highest need. To request emergency sandbags from King County, call 206-296-8100.

Who should I call to report flooding over a roadway?

Call 206-296-8100 or toll free 1-800-KCROADS to report water over a roadway. Never attempt to drive through water over a roadway, as it can be deceptively swift or deep, have sink holes or roadway undermined by water and your car can float or stall in a shallow amount of water.

 

How do I find out the status of a flooding river?
