WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Congressman John P. Murtha (PA-12)
released the following statement on the passing of Pennsylvania Lt. Governor
Catherine Baker Knoll:
“I’ve known Lt. Governor Catherine Baker Knoll for 30
years. She was a remarkable woman who
never stopped fighting to better our Commonwealth and to improve the lives of
Pennsylvanians. She was a
transformational figure, and at the forefront of so many important issues.
“There is no individual who has worked harder for the
Pennsylvania Democratic Party and for the people of Pennsylvania. Catherine’s kindness and friendship touched
the lives of many. Her passing is a real
loss for our great Commonwealth.”
