Capitol Flags
You may order US flags flown over the US Capitol. Requests need to specify the event or occasion for which the flag is to be flown. For information on the sizes and prices of flags, contact any of my four offices. Due to high demand, these flags must be ordered weeks in advance of the date you desire them.

Applications to Service Academies
If you are a resident of the 2nd district and a high school junior or beginning senior within the proper age limit and wish to attend the US Military Academy at West Point, the Naval Academy at Annapolis, the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, or the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, contact my offices early to begin processing your application. My deadline for the 2009 school year applications is October 17, 2008.

Internships
A limited number of internships for college juniors and seniors interested in government, history, and communications are available in the summer months. Contact my Washington office by phone at (202) 225-2901 or by fax at (202) 225-8913 early in the year to start the application process. Deadline to apply for 2008 is February 15.
