Q. How did Congressman Holden vote on a particular issue?

A. It's easy to find out how the Congressman voted on an issue. Simply visit the Library of Congress's site at http://thomas.loc.gov/.

Q. Which Congressional District do I live in?

A. To find out in which district you live, go to www.house.gov and enter your zipcode.

Q. On which House committees does the Congressman serve?

A. Congressman Holden is the Vice-Chair of the House Agriculture Committee and Chairman of the Conservation, Credit, Energy and Resource subcommittee.  He also sits on the Transportation and Infrastructure committee.  Additionally, he is a member of the following subcommittees: Livestock, Dairy and Poultry; Highway and Transit; Aviation. Q. How do I voice my opinion to Congressman Holden regarding a particular issue?

A. Congressman Holden is here to represent you, and he values your individual concerns highly. To let him know how you feel about any federal matter he encourages you to e-mail, write, or call any one of his offices.  For contact information, CLICK HERE.

Q. Can the Congressman help me with specific casework? 

A. Constituents needing help with federal agencies concerning passports, immigration, labor, housing, and other issues should CLICK HERE for matters that constitute casework, and online links and resources. If answers are not found online, please feel free to contact a local district office for help. To locate the district office nearest you, CLICK HERE.

Q. How do I invite the Congressman to an event or schedule a meeting?

You can submit scheduling requests by clicking HERE or emailing PA17scheduling@mail.house.gov. Please be sure to include:

  • A description of the event or topics to be addressed in a meeting.
  • The preferred location of the meeting or event.
  • The names and number of people expected to attend the meeting or event.
  • The connection of the attendees of the event or meeting to the 17th district.
  • Contact information (email and phone number for night and day).

After receiving the request, the Congressman's scheduler will be in touch as soon as possible.

Q. Can Congressman Holden assist me with a capitol tour or a flag request?

A. Yes, as long as you are a resident of the 17th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.  At your request, the Congressman can arrange for a flag to be flown over the capitol and delivered to your home after it is returned to the office approximately 3 weeks after the fly-date.  Click HERE to request a flag.

Q. Can Congressman Holden assist me with a legal matter?

A. The U.S. House of Representatives forbids the involvement of legislators in the proceedings of a court of law. 

Q. Does the Congressman offer internships for students and graduates?

A. Yes, Congressman Holden offers internships for undergraduate, graduate, and recently graduated students at all of his offices.  For more information click HERE.
