House Page Program
The U.S. House of Representatives' Page Program offers high school juniors the unique opportunity to experience Congress in action and assist with official House duties. Pages work as a team delivering materials to Members' offices, preparing the House Floor for sessions and answering phones in the Members' Cloakroom. As a Page, students are in a rare position to learn firsthand about the House of Representatives' role in lawmaking. The appointment process begins by receiving a nomination from a Member of Congress. The Speaker of the House and the Republican Leader then make final decisions on which students become Pages.
I am happy to recommend qualified Kansas students to the Republican Leader to be appointed as Pages. I was recently notified that I am able to submit two applications to the Republican Leader for consideration for the Spring 2009 session.
