As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Representative Sanchez serves on the Personnel and Strategic Forces subcommittees. As a member of the Personnel Subcommittee, she is fighting to improve the quality of life for our men and women in uniform serving in the United States and abroad. She has been a champion of the TRICARE For Life legislation, helped establish a Domestic Violence Task Force, pushed for a study to examine civilian teacher salaries at Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS), and fought to close the pay gap between the military and their civilian counterparts. As a member of the Strategic Forces Subcommittee, Representative Sanchez has been fighting to make sure our men and women in uniform are prepared for the multidimensional tasks ahead. She is working to reduce government waste, to ensure that contracting is a fair and equitable process, to push for new and innovative technologies, and to guarantee that America's larger goals of national security are met.
