Congresswoman Sanchez has worked with local communities and police to advance programs dedicated to reducing crime and violence in our neighborhoods. The Congresswoman is a member of the Methamphetamine Caucus, dedicated to directing attention to growing national problems and dangers associated with abuse and production of methamphetamine. She is a strong supporter of the Orange County Drug Court, which assists minor drug offenders in turning their lives around and becoming productive members of society. She also works closely with the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) to promote their goal of creating community policing law enforcement agencies dedicated to significantly improving quality of life by reducing the levels of violence, crime, and disorder in local communities. Representative Sanchez understands that community policing builds police relations with local neighborhoods and gets more cops out on the beat.
