Planning your trip to Washington, D.C.

Tours

Washington, D.C. is not only the nation's capital city, it is living history. I encourage my constituents to come see the many museums, monuments and memorials housed in this exciting city to have a deeper appreciation for our country and its evolution. My office is happy to assist you in making advance reservations for tours of:

  • The U.S. Capitol
  • The White House
  • The Library of Congress
  • The Supreme Court
  • The Bureau of Engraving and Printing
  • The Kennedy Center

Be advised that most reservations are issued on a first-come, first-served basis,so unfortunately, we cannot guarantee reservations for all tours. Please submit your request as far in advance as possible.

Almost all locations that offer congressional reservations also offer daily tours that are open to the public. Please visit Washington, D.C. Tourist Information for a list of attractions and public tour schedules.

Capitol Tours
My Washington office can provide staff-led tours through the U.S. Capitol. Please submit tour requests by calling my office at 202-225-2965 as asking for Paige Labourdette, or emailing  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it your request including a contact name, phone number, mailing address, the number of visitors in your party and the dates you will be visiting Washington.

White House Tours
After September 11, 2001, the White House has dramatically decreased the number of tours it permits for the general public. If you are interested in reserving a tour of the White House, please submit your request at least one month prior to the month you wish visit.

Note: Washington is a major tourist destination in the spring and summer months. We recommend a 3-month lead time for White House tour requests during this time.

Group Tours
My office can also assist school groups and veterans groups with tour requests. These tours are often booked serveral months in advance so it is recommended that groups requesting tours submit requests to my office as far in advance as possible.

Although my staff is always available to assist you, if you need further information, The U.S. House Of Representatives Visitor Information Web site is another great resource. Enjoy your visit to our nation's capital!
