Tours may be obtained one of two ways. The Capitol Guide Service offers public tours, Monday through Saturday from 9:00 to 4:30. Free tickets for these tours are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, at a kiosk located along the curving sidewalk southwest of the Capitol (near the intersection of First Street, S.W., and Independence Avenue). Ticket distribution begins at approximately 9 a.m. daily and continues as long as tickets are available for that day. The Capitol Guide Service maintains a recorded telephone line with information on tours, gallery access and closings. The phone number for that recorded phone message is (202)225-6827.
Scheduled tours can also be arranged through my office. If you are interested in scheduling a staff-led tour of the Capitol Building, please either submit a tour request form or contact the tour coordinator in my Washington D.C. office.
Virtual tours of the Capitol Building are also available online.

If you would like to visit the House Gallery during your trip to Washington, you will need to obtain gallery passes from my Washington D.C. office. These passes will allow you to access the Gallery and watch the proceedings on the floor when the House of Representatives is in session.
