Tax Relief
Congressman Knollenberg is one of the most aggressive advocates in Washington for lower taxes for working families and small businesses. Knollenberg has always voted to put Oakland County taxpayers first. In recent years, he has voted to double the per child tax credit to $1,000. He worked to reduce the marriage penalty tax and to provide family-owned businesses with some relief from the death tax. Congressman Knollenberg has also been a proponent of providing tax relief to small manufacturers in Oakland County. In fact, he has introduced legislation to provide tax credits to small businesses that create new jobs in our communities.
The tax cuts Congressman Knollenberg has supported in the last five years have reduced the average Oakland County family’s tax burden by almost $2,000 a year. This is additional money that working families can put aside for college or other family necessities. It’s your money. And Congressman Knollenberg is working to cut your taxes so you can keep more of it.
