  • Congressman Ferguson secured approval of $250,000 for a new communications system for first responders and other emergency management personnel in Warren Township. The funding purchased new radios, transmitters and base stations that, for the first time, allow police, fire and EMS officials in Warren to better communicate with each other and also provide a more effective level of service to township residents.

  • Congressman Ferguson voted to reduce taxes for Warren residents, including doubling the child tax credit to $1,000, reducing the marriage penalty faced by two-income families, making college expenses tax deductible, reducing taxes on capital gains and dividends, and reducing all tax brackets benefiting every worker in Warren.

  • When the Homeland Security Department issued new regulations in 2007 requiring every American, including minor children, to obtain a U.S. passport to travel to Canada and Caribbean nations, it created a huge backlog as millions of Americans sought new or renewed passports. Robert Wojtowicz Jr. of Warren had been waiting 11 weeks for the State Department to complete his passport application. So he and his family turned to Congressman Ferguson’s office for help. Congressman Ferguson’s staff worked with the State Department, and Wojtowicz’s new passport was issued – almost immediately.
