Benton and Franklin Counties
Kennewick, Pasco and Richland make up the Tri-Cities which is the largest urban area in Central Washington and marks where the Columbia and Snake Rivers converge.

Chelan and Douglas Counties
A series of dams along the Columbia River including Rock Island, Grand Coulee, Rocky Reach, Wanapum, Chief Joseph and Wells, make this area a leading producer of clean, renewable hydropower and provide irrigation for farmers in the Columbia Basin who grow a variety of crops including potatoes, wheat, asparagus, hay and mint.
