Recently, Congressman Davis met with Boone County Sheriff’s Detective Tracy Watson (left) and ICE Agent Sean Lichner (right), who were selected by a distinguished panel of law enforcement leaders from around the nation to receive the 2007 National Missing and Exploited Children’s Award for outstanding work in investigating and capturing a heinous sex offender.
Recently, Congressman Davis had the opportunity to meet with librarians from the 4th District and across Kentucky. They discussed a number of initiatives taking place in Kentucky’s libraries from early childhood reading to adult literacy and continuing education programs.

Recently, Congressman Davis met with representatives from the Kentucky Association of Fire Chiefs, the Kentucky Firefighters Association, and other public safety organizations to discuss the issues most important to them.

Recently, Congressman Davis had the opportunity to speak to the Grant County High School Army JROTC in Dry Ridge, under the direction of Command Sergeant Major Charles Duffee.
Recently, Tom Carew with Frontier Housing in Morehead and Jim King, CEO of the Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprises, stopped by the office to update Congressman Davis on their efforts. Both were in Washington, D.C., for the National Rural Housing Coalition conference.
Recently, Congressman Davis met with Colton Roberts, from Williamstown, and Brandon Turney, from Oldham County, who were visiting Washington, D.C., with the People to People program.
Recently, Kevin Jeffries, President of the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts and a resident of Oldham County, visited our office with Kentucky Commissioner for Natural Resources Susan Bush.
Congressman Davis recently presented an EPA/Southeast Diesel Collaborative Grant check to Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Kentucky for $50,000 to help reduce emissions from diesel engines in the southeastern United States.
Recently representatives of the Kentucky Farm Bureau visited Washington, D.C., to discuss agricultural issues. During their visit, Congressman Davis had an opportunity to meet with KFB members from the Fourth District and hear first hand their main concerns going into this legislative year.
Congressman Davis was honored to be presented with a Bible for use in our new Washington, DC, office by William Jefferson "Bill" Cooper, who turned 90 years old earlier this year and is a resident of Oldham County.
The Mays family from Burlington (pictured above) stopped by our Washington, D.C., office recently. It can’t be said enough, but we thank the Mays family and all of our military families for their service to our country.

Recently NKU President Jim Votruba visited Washington, D.C., to discuss developments at the university. President Votruba is a great representative for the region and works tirelessly with our office to return more resources to Northern Kentucky. We're very fortunate to have him and NKU as a partner in our efforts.
