Groundbreaking for NASA Goddard "Green" Exploration Sciences Building

2007 Congressional Arts Competition

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) welcomed the winner of the 2007 5th Congressional District Congressional Arts Competition, Waldorf resident Alex D’Amore, to the U.S. Capitol for the unveiling of the young student artist’s winning entry, an oil painting titled “Boats at Night.” (RELATED LINK)

2007 U.S. Service Academy Tea

Congressman Hoyer hosted a congratulatory tea reception on Capitol Hill for students from the Fifth Congressional District (Charles, Calvert, St. Mary’s and areas of Prince George’s and Anne Arundel counties) who were offered appointments to a U.S. Service academy for 2007.

Hoyer Delivers University of Maryland Commencement Address

Congressman Steny Hoyer delivered the 2007 spirng commencement address at the University of Maryland on Sunday, May, 20, 2007. His remarks addressed the school's legacy of public service and the civic responsibility of graduates to carry on this proud legacy.
