Also, each semester I have the pleasure of hosting several interns in my Lexington and Washington offices, enabling them to put their classroom knowledge into practice and gain a deeper understanding of our political system. 

Intern responsibilities include conducting tours of the Capitol, responding to constituent concerns, researching legislative issues, writing letters, and working with my staff on issues that affect the Nation and Kentucky. 

All candidates should have an interest in the legislative process, government, and working on constituent cases.  In addition, candidates should possess good communication skills including excellent writing and speaking skills as well as the desire to work as part of a team.  If you are interested in working as an intern in my Lexington or Washington offices, please fill out the application on this page and send it in with your resume, a writing sample, and two letters of recommendation to the respective office.
