Newport Beach, CA, May 13 - Chris Palmer, deputy district director for Rep. John Campbell (CA-48), has won the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce's ‘Volunteer of the Year Award.’  The chamber's Government Affairs Council will present Palmer with the award at its annual volunteer appreciation luncheon Wednesday, May 14, at the Radisson Hotel Newport Beach.

"Chris Palmer is a vital part of my congressional staff and an outstanding leader in our community," Campbell said.  "Chris’ commitment to this office and the community make him a valuable asset to all of Newport Beach.  I congratulate the Newport Beach Chamber, Chris Palmer, and all of this year's honorees for helping to expand economic opportunities for the residents of our area."

Congressman Campbell’s district office not only provides assistance to 48th District residents who have questions or need help with federal agencies, but staff members can also help constituents order a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol, schedule DC tours, and apply for nominations to our Military Service Academies.

The 48th Congressional District encompasses Newport Beach, Irvine, Tustin, Lake Forest, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, Dana Point and parts of San Juan Capistrano and Santa Ana.
