Inauguration Ticket Information

Since the Election, hundreds of calls have been pouring into Congressman Mike Castle's office requesting tickets for President-elect Barack Obama's swearing-in ceremony. Tickets for the event are free, and Members of Congress, as well as the President-elect's presidential inaugural committee, will receive a limited number of tickets in January for the inauguration ceremony, which will be held on January 20, 2009, at the west front of the U.S. Capitol.

Small Step in the Right Direction

July 24, 2008 

Today I voted for a good faith short-term effort to help lower gas prices by immediately making more supply available to Americans.   The legislation directs the Energy Department to release 70 million barrels of light-sweet crude oil and replace that with an equal amount of heavy-sour crude.

Our country is still in need of a comprehensive energy policy

As the energy crunch worsens across the country, we continue to urgently search for solutions to give Americans some relief. Today the House voted on H.R. 6525, the Drill Responsibly in Leased Lands (DRILL) Act, which would require the U.S. Department of the Interior to offer oil and gas lease sales on the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska on an annual basis, over the next five years, instead of the current practice of conducting lease sales every two years.
