U.S. Representative Judy Biggert (R-IL-13th) issued the following statement today in response to the death of Dusti, an 11-year-old giraffe who resided at the Brookfield Zoo:
“I was saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Dusti, who has been a popular presence at the Brookfield Zoo for the last ten years.”
“I just took my grandchildren to see Dusti over the Christmas holiday, and the joy he brought to them and the other children was obvious. Dusti will be missed.”
“My thoughts and prayers go out to Dusti’s caretakers and the rest of the zoo’s staff during this difficult time.”
