BARC Visit with USDA Secretary Mike Johanns

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD), U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns, and Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) visited the Beltsville Agriculture Research Center (BARC) on Monday, September 10, to tour the BARC complex and receive briefings by researchers on projects underway at the world-class facility.

Rep. Hoyer Hosts Women's Equality Day Luncheon

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer hosted more than 120 women business owners and community leaders from across Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District for the Fifth Annual Women’s Equality Day Networking Fair and Luncheon.

Hughesville Bypass Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer joined state and local officials at the MD 5 Business Southbound Ramp to the new Hughesville Bypass to mark the completion of the bypass.

Rep. Hoyer and Maryland Officials Break Ground at Site of Smartronix Expansion

Rep. Hoyer participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Smartronix office complex in Hollywood, MD. The 50,000 square foot facility will allow the information technology company, which serivces several military bases in Southern Maryland, to expand operations. (RELATED LINK)
