Levin and Herger Announce Additional Bills on Technical Corrections to U.S. Trade Laws and Miscellaneous Duty Suspensions for Written Comments

Chairman Sander M. Levin (D-MI) and Ranking Member Wally Herger (R-CA) of the Subcommittee on Trade today jointly announced the addition of the following bills to the February 25, 2008 request for written comments on miscellaneous tariff and duty suspensions.  These bills were inadvertently omitted from the initial advisory and otherwise meet the criteria for inclusion in the miscellaneous tariff bill process.  

All other details for the request for written comments remain the same (see Trade Advisory No. TR-7 dated February 25, 2008).  The deadline for the submission of comments on these bills is June 2, 2008.

Please Note:  Any person(s) and/or organization(s) wishing to submit written comments for the record must follow the appropriate link on the hearing page of the Committee website and complete the informational forms.  From the Committee homepage, (http://waysandmeans.house.gov), select “110th Congress” from the menu entitled “Committee Hearings.”  Select the request for written comments for which you would like to submit, and click on the link entitled, “Click here to provide a submission for the record.”  Follow the online instructions carefully and note deadlines for submissions located in this advisory. Finally, please note that due to the change in House mail policy, the U.S. Capitol Police will refuse sealed-package deliveries to all House Office Buildings. 

The deadline for the public to submit written comments to the Committee on the bills mentioned above is June 2, 2008.

FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS:
