The history of the United States is filled with exciting stories, battles, and debates. While the words of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution serve as our guidelines, the spirit of the American people brings these words to life.

Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence was signed by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776. To learn more and read the text of the Declaration of Independence, click here.

Constitution of the United States. Written in Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during the summer months of 1787, the Constitution is a revision of our country's Articles of Confederation.
