Putnam to Hold Boating Safety Workshop

May 19, 2004

WASHINGTON - Congressman Adam H. Putnam (FL-12) today announced he would be hosting a Boating Safety Workshop for constituents on Tuesday, May 25, 2004. The Workshop will be held in conjunction with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will be on hand to educate boat owners and the public on navigational charting, tide and water levels, on-demand electronic charts, and more.

“I encourage my constituents to attend this workshop to learn more about boating safety,” said Putnam. “As more and more boats share our beautiful lakes and bays, it is important that safety and education rule the day.”

The workshop is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to the Congressman’s District Office at (863) 534-3530 if you wish to attend.
