Congressional Art Competition | |||
Every year, the United States House of Representatives sponsors a Congressional Art Competition for high school students across our nation. The annual competition provides an opportunity for students across the country to exhibit their artwork and receive national recognition. It also demonstrates the important role that the arts play in American society. In the past, over 200 congressional offices have participated in the program. The first place winning entry from each congressional district will be displayed in the corridor tunnel leading to the U.S. Capitol Building for one year, where it will be seen by thousands of people. For further information and details, please see your high school art instructor or contact my district office at (212) 860-0606. |
