GOP Leader Boehner Praises Rep. Porter for Making Economic Rescue Legislation Better for Taxpayers

WASHINGTON, DC – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) highlighted the efforts of Rep. Jon Porter (R-NV) to strengthen accountability and oversight on behalf of taxpayers in the economic rescue legislation passed by the U.S. House of Representatives today.  Rep. Porter introduced legislation last week to create a special commission to investigate the collapse and recovery of our financial markets, and he successfully worked to include it in the economic rescue legislation.  Boehner issued the following statement:
