2nd District of Virginia

Virginia’s Second Congressional District is comprised of the cities of Hampton (part), Norfolk (part), and Virginia Beach and the counties of Accomack and Northampton on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

From urban centers to rural farm communities, the diversity of communities within the Second District is great.

The Second District is home to the U.S. Navy’s Atlantic Fleet, the U.S. Joint Forces Command, the Air Combat Command of the U.S. Air Force, the Training and Doctrine Command of the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps Atlantic Forces and NATO’s Atlantic Command for Transformation.

It is also the gateway to the Port of Virginia, one of the East Coast’s most active seaports.
