Statement of Rep. Carolyn Maloney upon announcement of third-quarter GDP decline |

WASHINGTON—Rep.
Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), Vice-Chair of the Joint Economic Committee of Congress,
released this statement on the government’s release of numbers estimating the
decline of the Gross Domestic Product in the 3rd Quarter:
“Today's dismal
economic growth numbers only confirm the urgent need for a recovery package to
get the economy back on track and help American families," said
Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Vice Chair, Joint Economic Committee. “This is grim news
today, but I expect this Congress will act with the current President and the
next President to get the economy back on track and get Americans back to
work,” she said.
