2009 inauguration ticket waiting list now closed

Because demand has far outstripped supply, U.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland has closed the waiting list for inauguration tickets.
Thousands of 3rd District constituents have requested tickets but the office will receive only several hundred to allot. Ticket requests began coming in five months ago.
The office will distribute the tickets on a first come, first served basis. The congressman regrets that he cannot accommodate all of his constituents interested in attending 2009's historic inauguration.
