WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Representative Jon Porter (R-NV) issued the following statement on the death of Lance Cpl. Richard Perez Jr.:
 
“Today, my thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lance Cpl. Richard Perez Jr. who died last week in Iraq.  Richard, a graduate of Coronado High School, served his country honorably.  He loved being a Marine, and made his family very proud.  He fought for a more secure and peaceful world, and served in Iraq during the country’s historic elections.  His contribution to the war on terror will not be forgotten.”
