Opening Prayer Given by the Guest Chaplain:
Father, we thank You for this day. We declare with the Psalmist, "This is the day the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it."
Lord, I thank You for our great nation. I thank You for the freedoms we enjoy in America.
Today we pray for Your protection for every man and women serving in our armed forces. We pray for strength for their families. May they know the peace of God that passes all understanding.
Lord, today I pray that You will give wisdom to these men and women who are our elected representatives. I know they want what is best for America. I thank You that Your Word tell us, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally, and it will be given to him."
I ask this in Your precious name.
