Unfortunately because of heightened security due to recent events, tour arrangements have been significantly impacted. Please note the following changes:

The White House Tour Policy:

1. ALL White House tour requests must be submitted through a Congressional Office. Further, the White House requires that a tour request be submitted at least 12 weeks before your arrival in Washington, DC, so it is best that you inform my staff of your request at least 3 months in advance of your arrival.  If your visit to Washington, DC is during the peak Spring and Summer months, all White House tours must be scheduled 6 months in advance to assure a scheduled tour. Unfortunately, requests not submitted within the time guidlines will almost certainly not be accommodated.

2. Tour requests submitted by my office must include 10 or more individuals, regardless of age or type of group (in other words, tours are no longer limited to school and military groups). HOWEVER, requests from groups smaller than 10 people CAN still be sent to my office because my staff will attempt to combine small groups with others, thus allowing the total number to exceed 10 people. For example, if a family of 3 wants to tour the White House, feel free to inform my staff and they will attempt to combine this group with others who have requested a tour on the same day.

3. Tours are now conducted Tuesday-Saturday from 7:30 to 11:30 am. Chaperone limits for group tours are now ELIMINATED.

The Capitol Tour Policy:

The Capitol no longer allows the self-guided tours. The Capitol is offering public group tours from 9:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday which are led by the Capitol Tour Guide Service. Tickets are handed out on a first come- first serve basis starting at 9 a.m at the kiosk located on the Capitol grounds at the corner of 1st St. SW and Independence Avenue. (We would suggest being in line well before 9 a.m. to ensure that your receive a ticket. Only one ticket is handed out per person, therefore everyone who wants to take the tour MUST be in line.)

Other Tours:

Our office is able to arrange for tours of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress and the Kennedy Center. Please call our District Office at (714) 960-6483 to request tickets.

Please understand that tickets are limited and tours book 3 to 6 months in advance, so call early!

We are also able to provide you with Gallery Passes. This is an excellent opportunity for you to observe our legislative system in progress. These passes can be picked up at our office located in the Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2300, Washington D.C.

Please note that even though we are limited as to how many tickets we can reserve for private constituent tours, almost every institution in D.C. is still open to the public or offer public tours. If we can't get you tickets for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Supreme Court or the Kennedy Center, you are still able to take their public group tours.
