I have served on this Committee throughout my 35 years in Congress and was the Chairman of the Committee from 1995 to 2001. As an Alaskan, I have a strong interest and devotion to the vast responsibilities this Committee has to my home State and our entire nation.

A wide range of issues fall under the jurisdiction of the Natural Resources Committee including energy, wildlife, fisheries, insular and Native affairs, mineral resources, and oceans.
