Health Care As a doctor for over 21 years serving the people of North Texas, I know how important health care is to each individual. Now, serving as your U.S. Congressman, I am committed to reforming our health care system to make it more affordable and accessible. The term “health care” covers a wide range of topics. On April 8, 2008, I participated in a event hosted by the Center for Healthcare Transformation, which is headed by former Speaker Newt Gingrich. The event, "Better Health, Lower Cost: Examples from the Real World", brought to Capitol Hill four successful industry leaders to discuss how their real-world innovative techniques have led to improvements in America's health care.
