U.S. Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. 26th District of Texas

If you are unable to find the answer to your question in this or any other section of my website, please feel free to call, write or fax any of my three offices.  This contact information can be found at the bottom of this web page.

Q:  How do I set-up a U.S. Capitol tour, White House tour, and other attractions the city has to offer?

A:  You may schedule tours of the U.S. Capitol, White House East Wing, Interior, and U.S. Department of Treasury through my office.  To find more information on how to do this, please visit the Visiting Washington, D.C. section of my website.

Q:  When will I found out when my tours are approved?

A:  Since the U.S. Capitol tour is set-up through the Washington, D.C. office of Rep. Burgess, and a member of the staff leads the tour, it will be approved right away.  The White House notifies Rep. Burgess’s office about 2-4 weeks before the actual tour date.

Q:  What can I do to increase my chances of getting a White House tour?

A:  White House tours can be requested 6 months in advance, and up to 2 weeks prior to the requested dates.  However, the earlier you contact Rep. Burgess' office and request tours, the better your chances will be.

Q:  What is the best time to come and visit DC?

A:  The fall is a great time to visit Washington, D.C., because it is less crowded than the Spring and Summer.

Q:  I have contacted contacted a federal agency and received no response.  What can your office do to help me?

A:  My two District offices employ staff who act as the liaison between federal agencies and you.  Please complete, sign and return the Review-Only Request for Congressional Inquiry Form to Lewisville District Office so your comments can be reviewed and directed to the appropriate staff.

Q:  What do I do if I have filed an appeal to an unfavorable decision I received from a federal agency and have not received a reply within a reasonable amount of time?

A:  My District office staff frequently handles this type of inquiry.  Please complete, sign and return the Review-Only Request for Congressional Inquiry Form to Lewisville District Office so your comments can be reviewed and directed to the appropriate staff.
