MEDIA ADVISORY: COLUMBUS TOWN MEETING TO BE HELD

U.S. Representative Sanford Bishop is holding a “Town Meeting” at the Columbus Technical College on Monday, August 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to assist faith-based organizations interested in providing federally funded community services.

Representatives of a number of federal agencies will be on hand to provide information about how to participate in the program that partners the federal government and religious groups in the delivery of social services, the Second District Congressman said.

Representative Bishop will take part in the day-long event, one in a series he is holding in the Second Congressional District. The public is invited.
