The 31st Congressional District of Texas consists of Williamson, Erath Hamilton, Coryell, Bell, Milam, and Falls counties; as well as, the Southern tip of Robertson county. Each county brings its own unique style to Texas adding to the colorful flavor of our cherished Lone Star State. A resident of Williamson County for over 30 years, Congressman Carter brings a familiar perspective to a district with traditional conservative Texas values. From cutting edge technology at Dell computers to the world’s largest military installation, Ft. Hood, to the nationally recognized dairy farms, the 31st Congressional District of Texas is as expansive as the Texas sky.

Erath County
Dublin Dr Pepper: The bottling plant was established 1891, and it is the oldest continuous bottling plant in America, bottling for over 100 years and still continuing today. Come by and have a taste of what everyone is talking about.

Stephenville Historical House Museum: The Stephenville Museum is an enjoyable place that is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and educating.

W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas: A research facility located at Tarleton State University, it is a combined museum and special collections library.

Hamilton County
Hamilton County Genealogy Society Library and Central Texas Research Center: One of the fastest growing and most comprehensive genealogy centers in the state.

Hamilton County Museum:  Served as the Hamilton County Jail from 1935 to 1990 and officially expanded to this location in 1996

Billy The Kid Museum: You have heard of the legend of Billy the Kid, but come find out the truth!

Hamilton Pool: Take a refreshing dip in this naturally made pool.

Coryell County

Coppers Cove Golf: Come hit a few golf balls on the driving range our play a couple rounds of golf on this beautiful course.

Coryell Museum: Learn a little bit about Coryell County here and what it is all about. Located in Gatesville.

Coryell County Courthouse: Come and take a look around in this beautiful historic Courthouse.

Falls County

Falls County Museum: Learn a little bit about Falls County is this historic museum.

Bell County  
Fort Hood: Like the State of Texas, Fort Hood is big and boasts of being the largest active duty armored post in the United States Armed Services. Fort Hood covers a total of 339-square miles and is the only post in the United States that supports two full armored divisions. 

Bell County Museum: Come look around and learn a little bit out Bell County 

Cochran, Blair & Potts Museum: Come take a look around this museum which celebrates the oldest department store in the State of Texas 

Summer Fun USA: If you’re around in the summertime, they come and enjoy a trip down the ‘lazy river’ or slide down from a 40ft tower into a Texas sized pool. Guaranteed fun! 

Edgewood Heritage Park Museum: Come have a look at how it was like back in the pioneering days at this outside museum. 

1st Cavalry Division Museum: Come learn about the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood 

4th Infantry Division Museum: Come learn about the 4th Infantry division of Fort Hood at the Museum 

Mayborn Planetarium and Space Theater: Check out this exciting Planetarium which includes Sky Shows, Laser Light Shows, and Large Format Films 

Pace Park & Salado Creek: Come have a nice picnic and lay around in what is considered Texas’ first designated natural landmark. 

Salado Silver Spur Theater: Come watch a show at the Theater, its fun and enjoyable for all ages. 

Czech Heritage Museum: Come and learn how the Czech community contributed to our great nation. 

The Grove Country Life Museum: Learn about the old ways of life at the Grove Country Life Museum. 

Miller Springs Natural Area: Visitors here can enjoy Hiking, Picnicking, Rock Climbing, Wildlife Observation, and Fishing 

Railroad and Heritage Museum: See how the old Railroad system use to work. 

Temple Lake Park: Come and enjoy the beautiful scenery at Temple Lake Park

Williamson County
Hill Country Flyer: Take a ride on the original steam train, the Hill Country Flyer. Then hop off the train for a bit in Burnet, TX to shop around in this historic town. 

Bartlett Area Museum: Museum houses a World War I exhibit, and antiques and artifacts from town's early history 

Inner Space Caverns: Come and see a whole other world under ground 

Veteran's Memorial Plaza: This memorial honors all Veterans who have served for our great country. 

Williamson County Historical Museum: Come and learn a little bit about the historical Williamson County. 

Hutto Heritage Museum: Come and learn a little bit about the historic City of Hutto 

Palm House Museum: Take a look at this Historic House that was purchased by Swedish Immigrants. 

Round Rock Express: Enjoy a good ole fashioned baseball game with this Triple-A Pacific Coast League. 

Southwestern University: Is located in historic Georgetown, and was the first institution of higher learning in Texas. Southwestern is an independent four-year undergraduate national liberal arts college.chartered by the Republic of Texas in 1840.

Milam County
City in Miniature: Come see a miniature version of the City of Cameron that recalls the town as it looked in the 1940’s. 

Milam County Historical Museum: Come learn a little history about Milam County.
