This week, during the Independence Day Work Period, my colleagues and
I in the United States House of Representatives have the opportunity to
spend quality time traveling throughout our districts, touring businesses
and meeting with constituents. I always look forward to the district
work periods, a time when I am able to hit the road and travel through
Arkansas, listening to and understanding the needs and priorities of the
very citizens I represent in our Nation’s Capitol.
Throughout the week, I joined Arkansans in celebrating America’s Independence,
attended a transportation groundbreaking, toured healthcare facilities,
met with local community leaders and elected officials, and visited with
constituents regarding issues affecting their communities. I find
the work periods invaluable when I return to Washington, D.C., and consider
your concerns and input in each and every decision I make. I truly
believe that is what being your voice in Congress is all about.
Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of my travels throughout the Fourth
Congressional District was visiting various healthcare facilities, including
the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center and the Davis Life Care Center in
Pine Bluff. Healthcare facilities such as these provide outstanding
patient care and serve a critical role in meeting the healthcare needs
for residents throughout Arkansas.
As your member of Congress, my primary responsibility and goal is to
be available to you to hear your needs, understand your concerns, and ensure
your priorities are met and understood in our Nation’s Capitol. While
I met with a great number of constituents over the course of the Independence
Day Work Period, there are many people that I did not have the opportunity
to visit with. I encourage you to contact me by phone at 1-800-223-2220,
or by visiting my website at www.house.gov/ross, so that I can continue
to represent you in the United States House of Representatives to the best
of my ability. |
