Kaptur To Lead Congressional Delegation To
Mexico

House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee ranking member Marcy Kaptur,
D-Ohio, is leading a congressional delegation to Mexico Thursday and will
continue to Miami for a Tuesday speech to trade activists and workers who are
gathering for the Free Trade Area of the Americas talks. Kaptur said she would
lead a group of House members to El Paso, Texas, where they will
spend four days examining the impact of the North American Free Trade Agreement
on both sides of the border 10 years after NAFTA went into effect.
Other members scheduled to travel with Kaptur are Reps.
Jerry Costello, D-Ill., Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., Bernard Sanders, I-Vt., Jan
Schakowsky, D-Ill.,
Ted Strickland, D-Ohio, and Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., with further changes in
the delegation possible.
