Ross Announces New Communications Director

(Washington, D.C.) Fourth District Rep. Mike Ross (D-Ark.) on Monday announced the appointment of Adrienne Elrod, of Little Rock, as communications director in his Washington, D.C. office.

"I am excited to announce the addition of Adrienne Elrod to our team," said Ross. "Adrienne brings a wealth of communications experience and public sector knowledge to our office.  She will do an excellent job of helping me communicate my public policy positions to the people of Arkansas's Fourth Congressional District."

Prior to joining Ross's team, Elrod served as the communications director for the Democratic Party of Arkansas, where she managed all press-related activities during the 2002 election cycle.  She also served as a spokesperson for former Arkansas Treasurer Jimmie Lou Fisher's 2002 campaign for Governor.  Additionally, Elrod served three years under the Clinton Administration, where she worked for the White House, the Department of Housing & Urban Development, and the Office of National Drug Control Policy.  Before joining Ross, she was employed by Paschall and Associates in Little Rock.  She is a graduate of Texas Christan University.

Elrod replaces former communications director Marie DesOrmeaux, who recently left Ross's office to become the national communications director for the USA Rice Federation.
