“This is great news for our airport,” Ross said.  “The funding will allow the airport to acquire land necessary for a runway protection zone in the approaches.  Right now conditions at the north end of the airport create a safety hazard for pilots trying to land at night.  This grant will help to give them a clear path at Dexter B. Florence Memorial Field, making it safer for pilots and passengers coming into Arkadelphia.”
